A type of printing ink designed primarily for the letterpress printing of kraft paper and paperboard, as for packaging. The ink vehicle consists of a glycol solvent in which is dissolved a rosin soap. The vehicle sets quickly to become water-resistant, a useful trait for ink printed on packaging. The wet ink itself can be washed away easily with water, facilitating press clean-up.
