Loosely bonded surface fibers on a paper that build up on a blanket in printed image areas, absorb water and repel ink, causing void hickeys. Lint can also become attached to the printing plate or blanket (which causes blanket piling), which affects print quality. Lint is also called fuzz and fluff.
