A type of dryer found on presses used in web offset lithography which, unlike open-flame dryers, blow jets of hot air at the printed web. Such dryers also include exhaust vents which remove solvent-laden air to keep it from recondensing back onto the dry web. The nozzles of these dryers can also be oriented to impart a controlled rippling effect to the web, which may help avoid web tension problems further down the line, specifically in the chill rolls.
