Pressurized Groundwood

A method of mechanical pulping in which wood is ground against an abrasive rotating stone, as with groundwood, but under high pressure and at temperatures in excess of 100ºC. PGW also generates a better quality pulp than traditional groundwood. (See Mechanical Pulping.)
