In typography, the part of a letter or other character consisting of a bowl which serves as a flourisg, as in the bottom portion of the lowercase "g." See Letter Elements.

In computing, a loop is any command or series of commands that endlessly repeats itself until the system is instructed to stop.

In networking, a loop is used to refer to a network configuration in which each node is linked in series in a circular manner, data being set from dvice to device until it reaches the node it is addressed to. In such topologies, there is no central controller.
