Lake Red C

Категория: не задано

An organic color pigment used in printing inks. Lake Red C is used to refer to one of three types of related pigments (versions of CI Pigment Red 53), most commonly the pigment containing barium salt. It is a yellowish red with a blue undertone possessing good chemical resistance properties, but only moderate lightfastness. As it contains barium, it is also toxic. It is the most commonly used red organic pigment, as its brightness and color strength work in conjunction with its low cost. (See also Organic Color Pigments.)

(CI Pigment Red 53 [sodium]; CI Pigment Red 53:1 [barium]; CI Pigment Red 53:2 [calcium].)
